OUT OF TIME
“Theater am Park” is an inconspicuous, austere building in Berlin-Marzahn on the eastern edge of the city. Until the fall of the Berlin Wall it was located on the strictly guarded National People's Army grounds and served as a rehearsal theatre for the 600 singers, musicians and dancers of the Erich Weinert Ensemble practicing there for their worldwide tours. After 1989 the building became a political issue, people even wanted to tear it down "because the Reds were in there", the owners changed frequently. Since 2004, the building has no longer been used due to fire safety deficiencies. The series portrays a place that seems to have fallen out of time.
